This is a relationship of spiritual companionship, where Susanne watches, listens and attends to the places where God is moving in our life. Susanne encourages the deepening of our relationship with God by making choices that embody God's love for us and our community of friends, family, and those whose lives we affect more indirectly, as well as nature.
With her background in chaplaincy, Susanne is experienced in journeying with persons who are facing chronic illness, pain, death or the loss of a loved one, and in helping with the grieving that accompanies all these losses.
Susanne feels especially called into relationship with people living with no or little income, and with those working to alleviate poverty and violence, both locally and globally.
Susanne enjoys working with women and with those balancing family life with ministry. She has a special appreciation for persons who are struggling with a sense of hopelessness or low self-esteem.
Susanne's experience of growing up in Africa and spending her teens and early twenties in Norway before moving to the USA makes her well suited for supporting those who are living or have lived in cross-cultural circumstances.
Suggested donation for Spiritual Direction services is $60 per session.
