Traveling Mercy

So quick
that look/word
that attitude.
Too quick
to let
hurt go down
deep.
Smiles, laughter
soft touch
evaporates.
Quick
to remember
not ever
forgetting
forgiving
letting go
healing.
So I ask
for
Travelling
Mercy
on
this Journey.
Compassion
like Water
for my thirst.
Healing breath
for the
next step.
I ask for
Love
that I
could store up
for the morning.
I prayed
for
Travelling
Mercy
on this
Journey.

Compassion Like Thirst
is my book that I will be
using in conjunction with
my Spiritual Direction Groups.
My groups will focus on
the intersection of Faith, Spirituality and Sexuality.

Autumn

Autumn is, in my opinion,
simply the most beautiful season
of the year. The holidays are on their way
and you can feel the excitement
in the air. Autumn is a wonderful time
to reflect on the past and to dream
and make plans for the future.

Copper
Cayenne
Curry.
Chills
that
give
Strength
Bounce
and
Ease
to
your
glide.
Heat
is
gone.
We
are
left
with
Ginger
Honey
memories.
Anticipation
and
Energy
like
a
child.
Faith
as Sweet
and
Enduring
as
Sweet Potato Pie
on
a
Sunday afternoon.

Martin Luther King, Jr

This is a day to celebrate and reflect on the life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
For many of us we will be part of special observances throughout our communities.
There are people in our community, however,
who for many reasons will not be able to celebrate January 15th the way they would like to.
It is not a paid holiday, they do not have time off, etc.
The very best they can do is to carry his legacy in their hearts.

It is my hope that on this day we can all take time and celebrate his life.

Dreams
begin
in a
sigh.
A
breath.
A
memory
of
a
pain
left
raw.
Dreams
begin
end
and continue
in
love.
Dreams
become realities
pushed on
a
tidal wave
of
dignity
righteous anger
and
Vision
of
tomorrow.
Dreams
recreate
themselves
on
strength
conviction
faith
and knowledge
that
moans
can
become
a
shout
of
triumph.
